Design a first-person online learning experience to introduce new Wawa hires to the retail company’s culture and brand.

Key Challenges

Technical — Develop a web-based, interactive training module that could integrate with Wawa’s learning management system (LMS).
Content — Work with Wawa’s subject matter expert (SME) to develop an entertaining onboarding experience that conveyed the company’s supportive employee culture in a way that didn’t feel like run-of-the-mill training.

Solution

We turned to gamification and immersed learners in a road trip journey using interactive activities and simulations to discover what it means to be part of the Wawa family.
